hiking & utv programs
-
Veterans in ODO’s hiking program are welcome to join us for (at least) 4 hikes, each increasing in difficulty. Check out our Hikes page for more information about the difficulty levels and the Events page for upcoming hikes.

Great question! Our Veteran Hikes are designed to take small groups of Veterans out on the trail together. The Veteran Hiking program is designed to have hikes which increase in difficulty as the individual becomes comfortable on the trail and sometimes includes hikes out of state. Family hikes are introductory to moderate level difficulty and are always in state. Family hikes are a great opportunity to introduce children or those with less outdoor experience to hiking! You do not have to be a Veteran to participate in the Family Hiking Program.

ODO will likely keep the hike scheduled in light rain or snow. The Hike Leader will always communicate via email if a hike is cancelled. However, if you are uncomfortable hiking in these conditions, please let us know that you will no longer be participating though the sign up form or by emailing admin@opendoorsoutdoors.org with your name and date of the hike. Your safety is our top priority.

Thank you for your patience!
